The bike was created to help meet the ever-increasing demand for micro transportation, especially outside of the large cities where Bird\u2019s rentals are typically limited to.<\/span><\/p>\n

The consumer-level e-bike blends its stylish aesthetic with Bird\u2019s advanced technology<\/a> and safe design, all while expanding access to eco-friendly mobility options anyone can take advantage of. And honestly, it looks <\/span>much<\/span><\/i> cooler than the company\u2019s <\/span>bright blue<\/span><\/a> rental e-bikes (thankfully).<\/span><\/p>\n

Bird Bike features a thumb throttle just like the ones seen on most rental e-scooters; so, if you\u2019re already familiar with those, the Bike will be easy to use. It\u2019s powered by a 500W Bafang rear hub motor, a Gates carbon belt drive, and has a 36V\/12.8Ah battery with LG cells that should give you up to 50 miles on a single charge. Plus, Radius CX7 mechanical disc braking assures you\u2019ll be able to come to a stop right when you need to.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Bike boasts an integrated LCD panel that\u2019ll show your current speed, the distance you\u2019ve traveled, and its battery capacity. Integrated high-vis LED lights ensure you\u2019re visible to cars, pedestrians, and other cyclists in dim areas or at night, and Kenda puncture-resistant tires will help reduce the chance you\u2019ll end up with a flat in the middle of nowhere.<\/span><\/p>\n

With a fully adjustable seat height, users of all heights can set the bike up to their unique and specific needs. The commercial-grade aluminum alloy frame will hold up to daily wear and tear, and the Pedal Assist feature goes up to 20mph to help you have a more efficient ride. The bike also has an IP65+ rating for water and dust resistance, and even sports Bluetooth so you can check on your Bike\u2019s battery level, for example, via the Bird app<\/a> (<\/span>iOS<\/span><\/a>\/<\/span>Android<\/span><\/a>) without having to check in person.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can purchase a <\/span>Bird Bike<\/span><\/a> today, in either Stealth Black or Gravity Gray, through the company\u2019s site <\/span>for $2,299<\/span><\/a>, though there are limited quantities. The Bird Bike will be more widely available in the U.S. and Europe sometime later this Fall in both V-Frame and A-Frame configurations, so you\u2019ll have plenty of time to save up before you purchase it.<\/span><\/p>\n
