But the company said the move was necessary to \u201ccomply with the requests of our banking partners and payout providers.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn order to ensure the long-term sustainability of the platform, and to continue to host an inclusive community of creators and fans, we must evolve our content guidelines,\u201d the company added.<\/p>\n<p>On <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> Thursday, many users predicted that OnlyFans\u2019 profitability will evaporate once the company bans porn \u2014 and accused the company of betraying the sex workers who made it profitable.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnlyFans announces they will be going into Chapter 11 on October 2nd,\u201d said on Twitter user. \u201cOnlyFans banning porn is like Twitter banning people from having terrible opinions,\u201d said another.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>OnlyFans, which has more than 130 million users and 2 million creators, has skyrocketed into popularity over the past several years by giving sex workers an organized platform to smutty photos and videos.\u00a0The company is profitable, took in $375 million in revenue in 2020 and expects to take in $1.2 billion this year,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/onlyfans-investors-struggle-9cc92523-6607-40ad-9893-4175e7966b52.html\">according to Axios<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While OnlyFans doesn\u2019t necessarily need outside investment to survive, Axios reported that it was looking to raise money to partially cash out majority owner and porn tycoon Leo Radivinsky and lend the company \u201cmore legitimacy.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVenture capitalists and other investors would typically jump at a firm with with OnlyFans\u2019 financials \u2014 especially in a market where companies like Uber and Doordash command monster valuations despite losing hundreds of millions of dollars each year. But most investment firms shy away from investing in \u201cvice\u201d industries like porn, alcohol and firearms, leaving companies like OnlyFans with few options.<\/p>\n<p>Even before Thursday\u2019s porn ban, the profitable company had been trying to shed its smutty reputation.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
