“#What Did You Think of His Exit? (POLL)<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for Chesapeake Shores<\/em> Season 5, Episode 2 \u201cNice Work If You Can Get It.\u201d]<\/strong><\/p>\n

While the Chesapeake Shores<\/em> Season 5 premiere revealed just how the Hallmark Channel drama dismantled Abby (Meghan Ory) and Trace\u2019s (Jesse Metcalfe) relationship with the major exit fans already knew about, it\u2019s the second episode that says goodbye to the musician. Trace\u2019s send-off is Metcalfe\u2019s as well.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s through flashbacks that we see Trace wrapp<\/a>ing up his business before he leaves town. He sells his half of the Bridge back to Mick (Treat Williams). \u201cI need something new, somewhere new,\u201d Trace explains to Abby when she finds out. \u201cI was staying here on account of you, but everything in this place reminds me of you.\u201d He apologizes for what he said following their kiss (even if they had to say what they did).<\/p>\n

Then it\u2019s time for everyone else to find out about his plans to leave. Mick tells Trace he has always respected him (despite the barrier between them) and knows he\u2019ll find his path. And while the family expects Trace to join them for a farewell drink, Abby knows he won\u2019t be: \u201cHe doesn\u2019t like goodbyes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Abby and Trace still get one, though, as she follows him out of the bar and calls him out on just taking off. Where\u2019s he going? \u201cI don\u2019t know,\u201d he admits. \u201cBut I think there\u2019s something missing inside of me. Tried to find it in my music, tried to find it in us, now I\u2019m going to try to find it in myself.\u201d They both deserve the best and \u201cmaybe now we\u2019ll find it,\u201d he says before he drives off and leaves Chesapeake Shores behind.<\/p>\n
