Netflix has released several photos for its live-action adaptation of the 1998 Cowboy Bebop<\/em> anime<\/a>. It also revealed that the series<\/a> will premiere globally on November 19, 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n

The photos offer a look at John Cho<\/strong>, Mustafa Shakir<\/strong>, and Daniella Pineda<\/strong> as their respective characters Spike Spiegel, Jet Black, and Faye Valentine. The environments shown include the interior of the gang\u2019s spaceship, an alley with the entrance to the C\u2019est la Vie bar in the background, and a church.<\/span><\/p>\n

Netflix Geeked\u2019s upload<\/a> of the church screenshot includes the caption, \u201cWhen Angels are forced out of heaven, they become Devils. You agree don\u2019t you Spike?\u201d The line comes from the anime\u2019s fifth episode, \u201cBallad of Fallen Angels,\u201d during Spike\u2019s confrontation with the villain Vicious.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cowboy Bebop<\/em> was announced in 2018, with filming wrapping in March 2021<\/a>. The show was delayed for seven-to-nine months<\/a> in 2019 due to an on-set injury involving Cho.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The executive producers include Midnight Radio\u2019s Andr\u00e9 Nemec<\/strong>, Jeff Pinkner<\/strong>, Josh App<\/a>elbaum<\/strong>, and Scott Rosenberg<\/strong>; Tomorrow Studios\u2019 Marty Adelstein<\/strong> and Becky Clements<\/strong>; Sunrise\u2019s Masayuki Ozaki<\/strong>; and Yost<\/strong>, Tim Coddington<\/strong>, Tetsu Fujimura<\/strong>, Michael Katleman<\/strong>, and Matthew Weinberg<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, the anime\u2019s director Shinichir\u014d Watanabe<\/strong> is serving as a consultant while the anime\u2019s music composer Yoko Kanno<\/strong> is composing the live-action series\u2019 original soundtrack<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The show\u2019s other cast members include Alex Hassell, <\/span><\/strong>Elena Satine<\/strong>, <\/span>Tamara Tunie<\/strong>, and <\/span>Rachel House<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The original Cowboy Bebop<\/em> anime ran for 26 episodes, with its staff including Keiko Nobumoto<\/strong> as series composer and Toshihiro Kawamoto<\/strong> as character designer. A movie titled Cowboy Bebop: The Movie <\/i>(Cowboy Bebop Tengoku no Tobira<\/em> in Japanese) that took place between Episode 23 and 24 was released in 2001.
