She has hosted \u201cThe Rachel Maddow Show\u201d since 2008.<\/p>\n<p>However, CNN noted that nothing is set in stone, with one source saying that \u201cher schedule isn\u2019t changing.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The potential change in programming of her show comes after The Daily Beast reported earlier this month that Maddow, 48,\u00a0was\u00a0\u201cseriously considering leaving the network when her contract ends early next year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The veteran broadcaster is said to be interested in streaming and podcasting, which would allow more time for her personal life in the absence of rigorous nightly television deadlines, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/rachel-maddow-considers-leaving-msnbc\">The Beast reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/Maddow.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1024\" alt=\"Maddow was initially thinking of leaving MSNBC and starting her own business venture when her contract expired early next year.\" class=\"wp-image-19213134\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/Maddow.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/Maddow.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/Maddow.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>Rachel Maddow was initially thinking of leaving MSNBC and starting her own business venture when her contract expired early next year. <\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Virginia Sherwood\/NBCU Photo Bank\/NBCUniversal via Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The new contract keeps Maddow at NBCUniversal while giving her a broader mandate to pursue projects such as film and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TV series<\/a> as well as other ventures, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/rachel-maddow-strikes-multi-year-deal-with-msnbc-11629658420\">The Wall Street Journal reported<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The contract will see Maddow start her own production company that will bring its projects to NBCUniversal first, the Journal reported, citing one source.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>The projects will likely include some content for Peacock, NBC\u2019s streaming service, one source told the Journal. <\/p>\n<p>NBCUniversal News Group Chairman Cesar Conde has emphasized to reporters, editors and executives throughout the company that growing Peacock is a priority. <\/p>\n<p>Insider, which <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/rachel-maddow-reaches-new-deal-to-stay-at-msnbc-2021-8?amp\">first reported Maddow\u2019s contract renewal<\/a>, said that she hired super-agent and CEO of Endeavor, the holding company of talent agency WME, Ari Emanuel to negotiate the deal. <\/p>\n<p>Endeavor president Mark Shapiro, who was also involved in negotiations, told Insider that Maddow \u201cis staying home where she belongs with a much broader deal at NBCUniversal and couldn\u2019t be h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ier.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Shapiro declined to say how much Maddow would be paid, but added that she would have \u201cmore scheduling flexibility.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Representatives for NBCUniversal did not return The Post\u2019s request for comment.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
