\nWhen it came to saying her \u201cI Dos\u201d with Michael Barrett<\/strong>, Anna Faris<\/strong> wanted to keep things as simple as possible.<\/p>\n

ICYMI, during a recent episode of her podcast Unqualified<\/em>, the 44-year-old actress revealed that she and her 51-year-old cinematographer boyfriend secretly eloped over the summer. The House Bunny<\/em> star said at the time:<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we\u2019ve spent the last year in a place of reflection, in a place of kind of prioritization to some degree, a place of anxiety, a place of like, whatever, assessment. But I\u2019m looking around, just so, just my fianc\u00e9\u2019s right \u2026 he\u2019s now my husband.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And while she didn\u2019t spill too many details, Faris did share that the newlyweds tied the knot at a courthouse in Washington state:<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, we eloped. \u2026 I\u2019m sorry, honey. I just blurted that out, but it just feels like I can\u2019t say \u2018fianc\u00e9\u2019 anymore\u2026it was awesome. It feels great. It was at a local courthouse up in Washington state.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

E! News<\/a><\/em> also confirmed that the nuptials took place on the San Juan Islands off the coast of Seattle in mid-June. And the public weren\u2019t the only ones kept in the dark!<\/p>\n

Later on in the episode, Faris also confessed that her loved ones had no idea about their wedding plans. She recalled:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe saw my family, and it kind of slipped out the same way. My aunt asked me, \u2018You are going to be a stepmom. How are you feeling about that?\u2019 and I said, \u2018Well, actually, I am a stepmom as of like four days ago, but it was great.\u2019 Everything about it just felt right.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Wow, it\u2019s tough to imagine keeping all of that from your family for DAYS!<\/p>\n

But while travel<\/a>ing through the Los Angeles International Airport<\/strong> over the weekend, the Mom<\/em> alum explained why the pair decided to ditch an elaborate ceremony \u2014 and it turns out it was all her idea! According to Page Six<\/em>, Anna told the paparazzi that she and Barrett got hitched in a courthouse because \u201cwith a little bit of age, you don\u2019t need the whole thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wow, was there a little bit of shade in that statement?! As you may know, this would be the podcaster\u2019s third union, as she married actor Ben Indra<\/strong> from 2004 to 2008 and Chris Pratt<\/strong> from 2009 to 2018. So perhaps Faris has become slightly jaded on the subject of weddings? To be honest, though, who cares if others decided to have a lavish wedding when they\u2019re older. If they\u2019re doing what is right for them, let them have the whole shebang! And if they don\u2019t want that \u2014 like Anna and Michael \u2014 that\u2019s cool, too!<\/p>\n
