Source: TradingView<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bitcoin_optimism_wavers\"><\/span>Bitcoin optimism wavers<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/symbols\/ETHUSD\/\">TradingView<\/a>\u00a0showed BTC\/USD falling to local lows of $46,540 on Bitstamp, having passed $49,300 hours before.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The action continues rangebound behavior which looks to be cementing old resistance at $51,000, bears lacking volume and momentum to flip the area to support.<\/p>\n<p>Despite pausing in the mid $46,000 range, Bitcoin was not enticing many for long positions on the day, with popular trader Crypto Ed eyeing the potential for another relief rally before an even deeper price dip takes hold.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BTC?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#BTC<\/a> step 2 (bounce) executed it seems <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ZPEsDXspmk\">pic.twitter.com\/ZPEsDXspmk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Crypto_Ed_NL (@Crypto_Ed_NL) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Crypto_Ed_NL\/status\/1430761846148145163?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 26, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Others were more optimistic, among them contributors to market updates at on-chain analytics service CryptoQuant.<\/p>\n<p>In <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptoquant.com\/quicktake\/612722c86e4a06184bf949c1-It-is-way-too-obviously-bullish\">one<\/a> of various updates on the day, one analyst forecast that a BTC price move below $47,000 would be a &#8220;fake dip,&#8221; and the result would be a successful crossing of the $50,000 mark.<\/p>\n<p>Buyer support on BTC\/USD was meanwhile wearing thin Thursday, with reliable interest on major exchange Binance only in place closer to $41,000.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2021-08\/453b27f1-1dae-41c2-90af-af7bd0a8c0cc.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>BTC\/USD buy and sell levels (Binance) as of Aug. 26.
