Nickelodeon and CBS Television Studios revealed the title and logo (above) for the all-new animated\u00a0Star Trek: Prodigy<\/em>\u00a0during the Star Trek Universe panels at [email\u00a0protected] It’s the latest series<\/a> in the Star Trek<\/em> franchise, which has been growing on CBS All Access.<\/p>\n

The CG-animated series follows “lawless teens\u00a0who discover a derelict Starfleet ship and use it to search for adventure, meaning and salvation.” It’s set to debut in 2021 on Nickelodeon.<\/p>\n

Star Trek: Prodigy<\/em> is\u00a0developed by Kevin and Dan Hageman (Trollhunters<\/em>) and from CBS’ Eye Animation Productions (CBS Television Studios’ new animation arm), Secret Hideout, and Roddenberry Entertainment. Ramsey Naito, EVP, Animation Production and Development, Nickelodeon, oversees it for Nickelodeon. Joining Kevin and Dan Hageman as executive producers are Alex Kurtzman, Heather Kadin, Katie Krentz, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth. Aaron Baiers is a co-executive producer.<\/p>\n

CBS All Access’\u00a0Star Trek<\/em> Universe includes\u00a0Star Trek: Picard<\/em>,\u00a0Star Trek: Discovery<\/em>,\u00a0Star Trek: Lower Decks<\/em>,\u00a0Star Trek: Strange New Worlds<\/em>, and the\u00a0development of a Section 31-based series with Michelle Yeoh.\n <\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
