\nRonnie Ortiz-Magro<\/strong> is back!<\/p>\n

The MTV<\/strong> star is returning to the small screen after a brief hiatus to focus on his mental health. On Thursday, the 35-year-old Jersey Shore<\/em> personality announced the happ<\/a>y news<\/a> while sharing he\u2019s four months sober, telling TMZ<\/em>:<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel great. Four months sober, I quit drinking. Got engaged, full-time father, you know, living a good life.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

As Perezcious readers will recall, the dad of 3-year-old Ariana<\/strong>, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Jenn Harley<\/strong>, revealed he\u2019d be taking a step back from the popular show in May to focus on his mental health, including issues he felt had been \u201cignored\u201d for far too long. The hiatus also came at the heels of controversy.<\/p>\n

Ronnie was embroiled in a legal battle after being arrested for domestic violence against his now-fianc\u00e9e Saffire Matos<\/strong>. He was later cleared of any potential felony charges, which was a lucky break given he was still on probation from a 2019 domestic violence case against his baby momma. Matos remained on her beau\u2019s side the entire time, claiming there was a lot of \u201cmisleading information floating around there.\u201d<\/p>\n

While not addressing the trouble outright, the celeb did express feeling \u201cunstable\u201d and urged he could not \u201cdisassociate\u201d from the problems to avoid taking credit for the trauma he may have caused his family. Now that he\u2019s sought treatment for these \u201cmental illness\u201d struggles, the New York native is excited to give fans what they want, adding:<\/p>\n

\u201cI stepped away [from Jersey Shore<\/em>] to deal with my mental health, be a father to my child, be a fianc\u00e9 to my woman. I\u2019ll be back and, you know, all the fans love me and I love them too so I\u2019m gonna give them what they want and I\u2019ll see them soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It sounds like he\u2019ll reappear on the show as early as the end of season 5! He told the outlet that despite taking a break, he remained \u201cvery close\u201d with producers of the series<\/a> and that his time is \u201cdefinitely not over.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ortiz-Magro was an original cast member on Jersey Shore<\/em> through its six-season run beginning in 2009. He went on to lead the spinoff Jersey Shore: Family Vacation<\/em> until his departure earlier in the year. In May, he told followers on his Instagram Story<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter talking to the team at MTV, we have mutually agreed that I will step away from the show while I seek medical treatment for mental health issues that I\u2019ve ignored for too long. My number one goal now is facing my struggles head on.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

A month later, he also proposed to his girlfriend, whom he met last fall \u2014 so could a Jersey Shore<\/em> wedding be coming soon? Maybe! The Snooki & Jwoww<\/em> alum did tell TMZ<\/em> that the cast would 100% be invited to the wedding because \u201cthey\u2019re family\u201d and \u201c12 years strong.\u201d Not on the list? Likely his ex!<\/p>\n

Either way, it\u2019s pretty clear Ronnie\u2019s ventured into a whole new chapter of his life, with a source dishing to People<\/em>:<\/p>\n

\u201cRonnie has been taken this time to work on himself and his daughter. For him, he felt like this right time. They\u2019re both really happy for this next chapter. His health and happiness are what is most important.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
