{"id":331608,"date":"2021-08-27T20:38:43","date_gmt":"2021-08-27T17:38:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/nyc-to-cap-uber-eats-doordash-and-grubhub-restaurant-fees\/"},"modified":"2021-08-27T20:38:43","modified_gmt":"2021-08-27T17:38:43","slug":"nyc-to-cap-uber-eats-doordash-and-grubhub-restaurant-fees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/nyc-to-cap-uber-eats-doordash-and-grubhub-restaurant-fees\/","title":{"rendered":"#NYC to cap Uber Eats, DoorDash and Grubhub restaurant fees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#NYC to cap Uber Eats, DoorDash and Grubhub restaurant fees<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n        <\/aside>\n<p>Food delivery <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>s will face a permanent cap on the commissions they can charge restaurants under a bill passed by the New York City Council late Thursday, sending the shares of Grubhub and DoorDash plummeting.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The bill would limit the amount that apps can charge restaurants to 15 percent of food orders for delivery services, 5 percent for advertising and other miscellaneous services and 3 percent for credit card processing fees.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If signed into law, the New York City council bill would also require food delivery apps to apply for operating licenses, which would be reviewed every two years.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Shares of Grubhub\u2019s parent company Just Eat Takeaway were down about 5.6 percent on the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> mid-morning Friday, while DoorDash shares had fallen 2.4 percent, according to MarketWatch data.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Shares of Uber, which has a more diversified business and may therefore be less exposed to the bill, were up about 1 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Mayor Bill de Blasio has 30 days to sign the legislation, which would take effect 120 days after becoming law.
