Now, merely hours after its release, West has taken to <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> to say that it was issued without his approval. \u201cUniversal put my album out without my approval and they blocked Jail 2 from being on the album,\u201d he wrote in an Instagram post. Find that post below.<\/p>\n<p>Representatives for Universal offered <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-offer-url=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2021\/music\/news\/kanye-west-donda-universal-def-jam-1235051491\/\" class=\"external-link\" data-event-click='{\"element\":\"ExternalLink\",\"outgoingURL\":\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2021\/music\/news\/kanye-west-donda-universal-def-jam-1235051491\/\"}' href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2021\/music\/news\/kanye-west-donda-universal-def-jam-1235051491\/\">no comment to <em>Variety<\/em><\/a>, but the publication cited unnamed sources at the company who called West\u2019s claim \u201cpreposterous.\u201d Pitchfork has reached out to Kanye West\u2019s representatives at Universal for further comment.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ConsumerMarketingUnitThemedWrapper-kknrtm gZsZUO consumer-marketing-unit consumer-marketing-unit--article-mid-content\" role=\"presentation\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<div class=\"consumer-marketing-unit__slot consumer-marketing-unit__slot--article-mid-content consumer-marketing-unit__slot--in-content\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"journey-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><em>Donda<\/em> includes contributions from JAY-Z (on \u201cJail\u201d), the Weeknd, Jay Electronica, Young Thug, the late Pop Smoke, Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Kid Cudi, and many others. The LP was released after the rapper\u2019s third listening party\u2014a Chicago event that controversially featured appearances from Marilyn Manson and DaBaby.<\/p>\n<div class=\"Container-ineSfH kZHRTY\"><\/div>\n<p>Manson is credited as a composer and lyricist on \u201cJail,\u201d while both Manson and DaBaby appear on \u00a0\u201cJail, Pt. 2.\u201d That song was not officially available upon <em>Donda<\/em>\u2019s initial release, but it eventually made its way on to the album. Earlier today, West posted a pair of photos on Instagram (viewed by Pitchfork) showing text threads that claimed that DaBaby\u2019s manager was not clearing the Charlotte rapper\u2019s verse for \u201cJail.\u201d Arnold Taylor\u2014the founder and president of South Coast Music Group, the label to which DaBaby is signed\u2014<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-offer-url=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CTKVjlrL9tc\/\" class=\"external-link\" data-event-click='{\"element\":\"ExternalLink\",\"outgoingURL\":\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CTKVjlrL9tc\/\"}' href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CTKVjlrL9tc\/\">disputed<\/a> West\u2019s claim.<\/p>\n<div class=\"AdWrapper-fEXqQS krBdZf ad ad--in-content\">\n<div class=\"ad__slot ad__slot--in-content\" data-node-id=\"ib5f0g\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>In September 2020, West posted a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> of tweets about his relationship with Universal Music Group.
