\n A pair of online videos show a massive contingent of NYPD cops in riot gear as they swept through and broke up the \u201cOccupy City Hall\u201d encampment in Lower Manhattan.<\/p>\n

Protesters offer only token resistance, including by shoving a sofa toward a line of cops who hold clear shields while advancing across the plaza at Chambers and Centre streets, according to an 18-minute clip posted on YouTube<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One man also repeatedly yells out, \u201cSuck my d\u2013k, you f\u2014-ts!\u201d<\/p>\n

A recording played over a loudspeaker warns those gathered that it\u2019s \u201cunlawful\u201d to camp in city parks and that \u201cyou are ordered to leave.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you leave voluntarily, no charges will be placed against you,\u201d the recording says.<\/p>\n

The video shows the cops march forward following amplified shouts of \u201cMove! Back!\u201d and they also take up the chant themselves.<\/p>\n

Other cops were recorded dismantling tents and other makeshift shelters on the plaza and in nearby City Hall Park early Wednesday.<\/p>\n

At several points, the line of cops with shields stops advancing in response to a shout of \u201cSRG, hold!,\u201d an app<\/a>arent reference to the NYPD\u2019s Strategic Response Group.<\/p>\n

A second, shorter clip apparently was recorded by a young woman who says, \u201cOccupy City Hall, Abolition Park is being raided!\u201d<\/p>\n

That video ends with a chaotic scene as the cops march toward the protesters and the woman yells, \u201cYou\u2019re going to hit me with a baton now?\u201d<\/p>\n

Later, she says, \u201cI\u2019m OK, I\u2019m OK.\u201d<\/p>\n

The NYPD has said seven people were taken into custody during the operation, with one man accused of throwing a brick that dented a cop\u2019s shield.<\/p>\n
