class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n        <\/aside>\n<p>Peloton\u00a0revealed Friday that the US Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security have subpoenaed the company for documents and other information related to the reporting of customer injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the company disclosed that the Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating public disclosures over the reported injuries and Peloton or executives of the company are currently named in at least six lawsuits related to the matter. <\/p>\n<p>In May, Peloton\u00a0issued a sweeping recall for more than 126,000 of its treadmills after US regulators said people have been hurt\u00a0using the machines\u00a0and one child has died.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The recall covered both the company\u2019s cheaper $2,495 model treadmill and its $4,295 Tread+.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLitigation, regulatory proceedings, such as the investigations described above, as well as related personal injury or class action claims and lawsuits, and securities and intellectual property infringement matters that we are currently facing or could face, can be protracted and expensive, and the results are difficult to predict,\u201d the company <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/ix?doc=\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/0001639825\/000163982521000256\/pton-20210630.htm\">said in a filing<\/a> with the SEC. <\/p>\n<p>The company added that \u201ceven if these matters are resolved in our favor or without significant cash settlements, these matters, and the time and resources necessary to litigate or resolve them, could harm our business, financial condition, and operating results.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" cooperate fully with each of these investigations, and at this time, we are unable to predict the eventual scope, duration or outcome of the investigations,\u201d Peloton said. <\/p>\n<p>Representatives for the DOJ and DHS did not im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely return The Post\u2019s request for comment on the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Peloton said they can\u2019t comment on \u201cactive litigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>An SEC spokesman said the agency \u201cdoes not comment on the existence or nonexistence of a possible investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Shares of Peloton were down about 7
