\nEminem gave his good friend 50 Cent a shout-out during his assist on Nas\u2019 King\u2019s Disease 2<\/em> standout \u201cEPMD 2\u201d earlier in August. Following the name-drop, 50 revealed it lit a creative fire under him to get back in the studio and penning rhymes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen Em does something that stands out to me, it\u2019s special,\u201d he told People<\/em>. \u201cHe just had a performance on Nas\u2019 album, and it made me want to record again because of my connection to it. He sounded so good that I was like, \u2018I gotta write something.’\u201d<\/p>\n

50 Cent then pumped the brakes on an upcoming collaboration with Em in the works saying it\u2019s \u201cprobably not\u201d in the cards coming up. Either way, the Queens legend is feeling inspired again when it comes to music.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like I\u2019m still in it,\u201d 50 continued around the 6:30 mark. \u201cEven if I don\u2019t share it with the general<\/a> public, it forced me back into writing, going to the studio and recording something.\u201d<\/p>\n
