Julie Plec’s (The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Legacies) latest project about the undead has set its cast.<\/p>\n

The series<\/a> is described as\u00a0 “a story of romance, friendship, death, sex, and scandal.”<\/p>\n

\u202fVampire Academy\u202fis based on a series of young adult paranormal romance novels by international bestselling author Richelle Mead.<\/p>\n

\n \"Vampire<\/img>\n<\/div>\n

In a world of privilege and glamour, two young women\u2019s friendship transcends their strikingly different classes as they prepare to complete their education and enter royal vampire society.<\/p>\n

This serialized and sexy drama combines the elegance of aristocratic romance and the supernatural thrills of the vampire genre.<\/p>\n

“St. Vladmir\u2019s Academy isn\u2019t just any boarding school \u2014 it\u2019s a hidden place where vampire royals are educated and half-human teens train to protect them from the savage \u2018Strigoi\u2019 vampires who would like to see them destroyed,” reads the logline.<\/p>\n

Plec is on board as Showrunner \/ Writer \/ Executive Producer \/ Director, and she’ll be joined by Marguerite MacIntyre, who starred as Sheriff Liz Forbes on The Vampire Diaries.<\/p>\n

MacIntyre had a huge part in the creative process of The Originals. On Vampire Academy, the actress will serve as co-showrunner, writer, and EP.<\/p>\n

Other EPs include Emily Cummins, Don Murphy, Susan Montford,\u00a0Deepak\u00a0Nayar, and\u00a0Jillian\u00a0DeFrehn.<\/p>\n

Directors also include Bille Woodruff\u00a0(first episode),\u00a0Luis Prieto,\u00a0Jesse Warn,\u00a0Erica Dunton, and Geoff\u00a0Shotz.<\/p>\n
