Obviously, that weight had to come from somewhere.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube<\/a>r\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=taKKVBVoKhg\">Austin Evans<\/a> ripped the new PS5 apart to figure out where the weight came from, and it turns out Sony made the\u00a0aluminum and copper heatsink smaller than the previous iteration of the PlayStation 5. In fact, it\u2019s 300G lighter and 16% smaller in mass.<\/p>\n<p>But what h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ens when you shrink a heatsink? It dissipates less heat, thus making the PS5 run a bit hotter. To counter this, Sony has included a new fan in the PS5 with\u00a0deeper impeller grooves that should push more air into the smaller heatsink.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Will_This_Hurt_Gameplay_and_Performance\"><\/span>Will This Hurt Gameplay and Performance?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Unfortunately, it\u2019s still a little too early to tell for sure, but preliminary tests so far have found no discernable difference in performance between this PS5 and the older version despite an average temperature difference of 3-5\u00b0 C.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll have to wait until more tests are performed to see if there\u2019s a difference. Logically, however, it would make no sense for Sony to release a new version of its console with weaker performance than the original.
