The official website and Twitter<\/a> account for the Lupin the Third <\/em>anime franchise revealed a new visual, additional staff, and October 9 premiere date for the upcoming Lupin the Third: Part VI<\/em> anime.<\/span><\/p>\n

The newly announced staff members include renowned director Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell, Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer<\/em>), legendary script<\/a>writer Masaki Tsuji (Astro Boy<\/em>), Taku Ashibe (Murder in the Red Chamber<\/em>),\u00a0 Akio Higuchi (Zone<\/em>), and Kanae Minato (Confession<\/em>) as guest writers, Yumi Matsumiya (ATASHIn\u2019CHI<\/em>), K\u014dichir\u014d Bizen (Date A Live III<\/em>), Hiromasa Ogura (91 Days<\/em>), Wataru Nishizawa (Boruto: Naruto the Movie<\/em> background artist), Beom Seon Lee (Lupin III: Goodbye Partner<\/em>), and Y\u016bsuke Takeda (The Eccentric Family<\/em>) as art directors, Hiromi Miyawaki (Barakamon<\/em>) as color key artist, Akemi Sasaki (Kamisama Kiss<\/em>) as director of photography, and Masato Yoshitake (Attack on Titan The Final Season<\/em>) as editor. Youji Shimizu (Lupin the Third: Part V<\/em>) is the sound director and Hiromune Kurahashi (Akudama Drive<\/em>) is handling the sound effects.<\/span><\/p>\n

Previously revealed staff includes Eiji Suganama (Lupin III: Prison of the Past<\/em>) as director, Takahiro \u014ckura (Lupin the Third: Part V<\/em>) as series<\/a> composer, Hiroki Marufuji (Lupin III: Goodbye Partner<\/em>) as character designer, and Yuji Ohno (Lupin III<\/em>) as music composer. The late Monkey Punch is credited for the original work. TMS Entertainment is in charge of the animation production.<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Lupin the Third<\/em> series is based on the manga by Monkey Punch and follows the titular master thief Arsene Lupin and his various heists and escapades. The manga spawned multiple TV anime sequels, films, and specials.\u00a0Lupin the Third: Part V<\/em> is the most recent TV anime in the series. Crunchyroll streamed Part 5 as it aired.<\/span><\/p>\n
