These are the questions a shocking new report from\u00a0DailyMail.com<\/em> is raising.<\/p>\n

For those who don\u2019t keep up with all the Hollywood inside baseball news<\/a>,\u00a0Paramount+<\/strong> is making a limited series<\/a> about the making of\u00a0The Godfather<\/em>, a tale full of some of the most colorful characters in 1970s cinema, including Marlon Brando<\/strong>, Al Pacino<\/strong>, Robert Evans<\/strong>, Francis Ford Coppola<\/strong>, and Frank Sinatra<\/strong>. The show is called The Offer<\/em>, as in the offer that couldn\u2019t be refused \u2014 but the universe is clearly trying its best to turn this thing down!<\/p>\n

First, the original lead, who was all set to play Oscar<\/strong>-winning producer\u00a0Al Ruddy<\/strong>, was \u2014 in a twist no one possibly could have seen coming \u2014 accused of cannibalism, sexual sadism, and eventually rape. Yes, we\u2019re talking about Armie Hammer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Then they had to scramble for a replacement and ended up with Miles Teller<\/strong>, but turns out they may have jumped out of the fire and into the pan-demic.<\/p>\n

At the tail end of July, Paramount announced the show was shut down due to a positive coronavirus test among Zone A members of production \u2014 in other words the cast and those who work directly with them. A rep said in a statement to Deadline<\/em>\u00a0at the time:<\/p>\n

\u201cOut of an abundance of caution, we have temporarily halted production on The Offer<\/em> due to the return of a positive coronavirus test result during routine testing. We will continue to follow all safety protocols and monitor the situation closely.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Well, now an insider is claiming they know exactly who is responsible.<\/p>\n

This \u201csenior industry source\u201d claims the person not only tested positive, they also broke protocol and brought the infection into the production \u2014 and that was none other than the show\u2019s new lead. They spilled:<\/p>\n

\u201cMiles Teller is not vaccinated. He wouldn\u2019t even get the test. Now he\u2019s brought the virus to the set and the whole set had to shut down.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Whoa. That is some accusation! Filming has since resumed, but a shutdown of about a month? Even two weeks?? That can cost tens, even hundreds of thousands of dollars, not to mention potentially ruining schedules for other projects.<\/p>\n

The big question is, WHY THE EFF WOULDN\u2019T MILES TELLER BE VACCINATED?? He\u2019s interacting with other actors and members of production up close, without a mask when he\u2019s acting in scenes. Why would someone be so careless? This is still a pandemic! Could he really be one of those anti-vaccine weirdos who think they\u2019re suddenly bigger experts than epidemiologists because of idiotic theories being passed around on Facebook<\/a><\/strong>?\u00a0And if this is true, how is he getting away with refusing to test? Isn\u2019t there a mandate? That\u2019s how these protocols work, how movies and TV continue to get made.<\/p>\n

Teller\u2019s publicist, Lauren Hozempa<\/strong>, responded to the story, telling the outlet simply:<\/p>\n

\u201cYour facts are incorrect.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Not exactly a full denial, is it? The original version of their story mistakenly said production shut down in August rather than July. Could that have been the \u201cfact\u201d that was incorrect? Hmm\u2026<\/p>\n

The responses to the story have NOT been merciful to Miles:<\/p>\n
