But when you\u2019re Microsoft, and you mistake that breaks Windows 11, it tends to get a little more attention. That\u2019s precisely what h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ened when Microsoft pushed an ad to Windows 11 that broke the Start Menu and Taskbar.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_Happened_To_Windows_11\"><\/span>What Happened To Windows 11?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Microsoft pushed a\u00a0promotional notification to Windows 11 users, and one particular one that was touting Windows 11\u2019s integration with Teams seems to have broken the\u00a0Start Menu and Taskbar of the OS.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RELATED:<\/strong> <strong><em>How to Use Teams Chat in Windows 11<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Basically, the ad would cause the Windows desktop shell to crash, which rendered two of the core functionalities of the OS unusable. In fact, it made it almost impossible to do anything with a Windows 11 PC.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, Microsoft posted a fix for the problem, and it\u2019s easy enough to deal with. It applies to both\u00a0builds\u00a022000.176 and\u00a022449. Here are the steps posted by the company:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Step 1: Use CTRL-ALT-DEL and choose to open Task Manager.<br \/>Step 2: Choose \u201cMore details\u201d at the bottom of Task Manager to expand Task Manager.<br \/>Step 3: Go to \u201cFile\u201d and choose \u201cRun new task\u201d.<br \/>Step 4: Type \u201ccmd\u201d in the \u201cOpen\u201d field.<br \/>Step 5: Paste the following (everything in bold):<br \/>reg delete HKCUSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionIrisService \/f &amp;&amp; shutdown -r -t 0<br \/>Step 6: Hit enter, and then your PC should reboot.
