acquisitions roll. <\/p>\n<p>After <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2021\/03\/24\/hedge-fund-vampire-buys-luxury-hamptons-resort-for-near-20-million\/\">buying East Hampton Point<\/a>, a resort, for around $20 million earlier this spring, Freeman \u2014 the head of Alden Global Capital \u2014 has just <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.realtor.com\/realestateandhomes-detail\/3503-Main-Lodge-Dr_Coconut-Grove_FL_33133_M64672-28213\">bought a $19 million waterfront home<\/a> in Coconut Grove, Fla., The Post can reveal. <\/p>\n<p>The massive, nearly 14,000-square-foot estate stands at 3503 Main Lodge Drive. <\/p>\n<p>It is one of 18 homes in the Camp Biscayne gated community and boasts nearly 100 feet of private beach and a dock \u2014 as well as a pool, a movie theater with 12 seats and a garage for eight cars. <\/p>\n<p>The gates may be helpful, as there have been protests outside his Hamptons property and Midtown offices, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/lifestyle\/media\/heath-freeman-is-the-hedge-fund-guy-who-says-he-wants-to-save-local-news-somehow-no-ones-buying-it\/2020\/06\/11\/9850a15c-884a-11ea-8ac1-bfb250876b7a_story.html\">the There is speculation that Freeman bought it as a $19 million teardown. <\/p>\n<p>He did not im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely return The Post\u2019s requests for comment. <\/p>\n<p>Freeman is now one of the nation\u2019s largest newspaper operators, with holdings that include the New York Daily News, the Boston Herald, the Los Angeles Daily News, the Denver Post and the San Jose Mercury News. <\/p>\n<p>He has been vilified for his slash-and-burn policy of deeply cutting staff and salaries and shutting down offices but he has said he wants to be known as the savior of local news, buying papers \u201cleft for dead.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Listing broker Toni Schrager, of Brown Harris Stevens, declined comment.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
