Earlier today (September 5), Harding\u2019s mother Marie broke the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> of Sarah\u2019s death in a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-offer-url=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CTcNfE0o3X5\/\" class=\"external-link\" data-event-click='{\"element\":\"ExternalLink\",\"outgoingURL\":\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CTcNfE0o3X5\/\"}' href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CTcNfE0o3X5\/\">post<\/a> on the singer\u2019s official Instagram account, which you can read in full below. \u201cIt\u2019s with deep heartbreak that today I\u2019m sharing the news that my beautiful daughter Sarah has sadly passed away,\u201d she wrote. \u201cMany of you will know of Sarah\u2019s battle with cancer and that she fought so strongly from her diagnosis until her last day. She slipped away peacefully this morning.\u201d Harding was 39 years old.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ConsumerMarketingUnitThemedWrapper-kknrtm gZsZUO consumer-marketing-unit consumer-marketing-unit--article-mid-content\" role=\"presentation\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<div class=\"consumer-marketing-unit__slot consumer-marketing-unit__slot--article-mid-content consumer-marketing-unit__slot--in-content\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"journey-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Harding first came to prominence after auditioning for <em>Popstars: The Rivals<\/em>, the British reality television <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> that resulted in the formation of Girls Aloud. The girl group\u2019s first single \u201cSound of the Underground\u201d debuted at no. 1 on the UK Singles Chart in 2002. It was the title track to their first album, which went platinum that same year. Girls Aloud were together for six years in total, and released five studio albums. Their last LP <em>Out of Control<\/em> came out in 2008.<\/p>\n<p>After Girls Aloud came to its initial end, Harding focused on her acting and solo music career. The band would reunite in 2012 for a greatest hits compilation and a final tour before disbanding the following year. She put out her debut solo EP <em>Threads<\/em> in 2015 and became a <em>Celebrity Big Brother<\/em> winner in 2017.
