Bangkok, Thailand<br \/>2. New Delhi, India<br \/>3. Lisbon, Portugal<br \/>4. Barcelona, Spain<br \/>5. Buenos Aires, Argentina (tie)<br \/>5. Budapest, Hungary (tie)<br \/>7. Mumbai, India<br \/>8. Istanbul, Turkey<\/strong><br \/><strong>9. Bucharest, Romania<\/strong><br \/><strong>10. Phuket, Thailand<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>(A tie at #5, really? Let\u2019s not get too cute.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>So lovely Chattanooga, Tennessee \u2014 <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/worldpopulationreview.com\/us-cities\/chattanooga-tn-population\">larger metro area pop. 528K<\/a> \u2014 must\u2019ve come in at No. 11, am I right or am I right?<\/p>\n<p>Mmm, nope, don\u2019t think it quite cracked the top billion. Which is so very, very wrong.<\/p>\n<p>On the downside, nonstop flights from NYC are (temporarily?) RIP amid the pandemic, so, \u201cWhy the Dickens,\u201d you ask, \u201cwould I suffer a 7-hour travel day of horror, with unavoidable layovers in DC or the like, just to wind up in East Tennessee?\u201d In that amount of time you could\u2019ve visited Europe. Canada. The West Coast. Mexico. The tropics. Just about <em>any other<\/em> place in the Occident that isn\u2019t Chattanooga.<\/p>\n<p>To that we say: Quit being so ask-y. <\/p>\n<p>Just embrace the Scenic City (yes, that\u2019s its real nickname) as being worth it. PC Mag <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/news\/the-best-work-from-home-cities-for-2021\">likes<\/a>. MakeMyMove <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.makemymove.com\/articles\/make-my-move-next-ten-remote-worker-hot-spots\">likes<\/a>, whoever that is. <\/p>\n<p>But where\/how, exactly? Depends on what you want: hotel, cabin, urban-style apartment, communal hostel space, tree-house. The metro area has it all.
