Electric vehicles are all about shaping our future, but let\u2019s take a moment here to <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>reciate the historic CitiCar, which was <em>years<\/em> ahead of its time.<\/p>\n<p>Let me take you back to May 30, 1974, when the<span> new electric CitiCar was demonstrated in the streets of Sebring, Florida. It\u2019s so vintage and futuristic at the same time. And now that I think about it, the CitiCar was pretty top-notch for the 1970s.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_it_started\"><\/span>How it started<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span>In the 1960s, a car salesman by the name of Bob Beaumont decided that he was fed up with the oil consumption required by our gas guzzler-based transportation system. href=\"https:\/\/www.golfcarcatalog.com\/golf-cart-blog\/golf-cart-museum-club-car\/\">Club Car\u2019s golf cart<\/a>, the CitiCar was a micro vehicle intended to be a small people mover. Or a \u201cmini urban commuter\u201d as we would call it today.<\/p>\n<p>The classic EV came in three models, which are easily identifiable by the flat vertical lines in the front and the back, as well as the flat roof. Also, the motor was moved to the front of the axle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Design-wise<span>\u00a0the body was changed slightly to incorporate heater inlet vents on the side of the vehicle and\u00a0full side doors with sliding windows. They redesigned the vehicle and named it the ComutaCar. The improved vehicle was produced from 1979 to 1982.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Back_to_the_present\"><\/span>Back to the present<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>So what\u2019s the moral of the CitiCar\u2019s story?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conclusion number one:<\/strong> EVs have been relevant for a long time now. We tend to associate electrical power with imposing current cars that are also smart and automated, and in turn, we tend to forget the long history behind electric vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, the CitiCar is still an impressive electric automobile, which is well-functioning and efficient if we take into account the limited <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a> that was available during its time. And that can only show a very promising future ahead.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conclusion number two:<\/strong> Both the CitiCar and the <span>EV growth explosion that occurs today <\/span>have been prompted by serious crises.
