This is majorly unfair, as it helps to turn people against what is a perfectly watchable and enjoyable sci-fi thriller.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-169181\" src=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Anna_10.0-550x367.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"367\" srcset=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Anna_10.0-550x367.jpg 550w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Anna_10.0-310x207.jpg 310w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Anna_10.0-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Anna_10.0-100x67.jpg 100w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Anna_10.0.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Yes, it is awash with elements inspired by the <em>X-men<\/em> movies and non-franchise\u00a0films like <em>Push<\/em> or <em>Chronicle<\/em>, but there are elements of <em>Enhanced<\/em> that are all its own. It follows the tense (and surprisingly cinematic) journey of central character Anna (Bale), a superpowered \u2018Enhanced\u2019, as she tries to stay ahead of both a government organization and a superhuman serial killer. The government want to capture her, while the sinister killer who is offing Enhanced people all over the place wants her for a very different reason.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-169180\" src=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Soldiers_Joseph_20-1024x512-1-550x275.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"275\" srcset=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Soldiers_Joseph_20-1024x512-1-550x275.png 550w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Soldiers_Joseph_20-1024x512-1-310x155.png 310w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Soldiers_Joseph_20-1024x512-1-768x384.png 768w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Soldiers_Joseph_20-1024x512-1-100x50.png 100w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Soldiers_Joseph_20-1024x512-1-660x330.png 660w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Soldiers_Joseph_20-1024x512-1.png 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\"\/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">James Mark\u2019s kinetic direction shows off his action and stunt work background very well. As such the action scenes are slick and impactful. He may not have as much flair with the more character-driven moments or sequences of exposition, but those sequences are still handled well. The cast, while not boasting anyone that could be described as a household name, do a solid job with the material. Lead Alanna Bale has to get a shout out for putting in such a relatable performance as Anna. She has a powerful mix of vulnerability and barely-contained anger that lifts the character \u2013 and the film \u2013 up beyond its low budget origins.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-169182\" src=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/x1080-4-550x309.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"309\" srcset=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/x1080-4-550x309.jpg 550w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/x1080-4-310x174.jpg 310w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/x1080-4-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/x1080-4-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/x1080-4-100x56.jpg 100w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/x1080-4.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">The film looks good, with some tasty cinematography that adds a bit of scale to proceedings by using the surrounding countryside well during the outdoor sequences and capturing the im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>te violence of the action scenes. The villain has a plan and will stop at nothing to fulfil that goal, which gives lots of space for superpowered fight scenes, glowing blue eyes and some pretty cool gadgets. The serial killer angle is more compelling than the <em>X-Files<\/em>-lite nature of the government organization plot, but both work well to keep things interesting and moving along nicely.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-169183\" src=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/unnamed-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"512\" height=\"288\" srcset=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/unnamed-2.jpg 512w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/unnamed-2-310x174.jpg 310w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/unnamed-2-100x56.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\"\/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">With a runtime of 99 minutes, <em>Enhanced<\/em> does what it needs to very well and in a space of time that won\u2019t have you quitting on it. The film has the feel of a mid to late nineties straight to video movie, albeit one with far superior visuals and performances. It won\u2019t change the world, but it\u2019s a great film to pass an evening with and gives you enough action and suspense that you can forgive them for a slightly rough <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a> and the occasional rough effects shot. Classic?
