\nNew York City \u2013 <\/span> Jim Jones and Maino have been friends for a very long time, and they\u2019ve collaborated on more than one occasion. Now, the two New Yorkers are officially coming together to form a supergroup while giving young creatives a huge opportunity.<\/p>\n

On Friday (September 10), Jim Jones and Maino announced via press release they\u2019ll be in a new group together called Lobby Boyz and are planning to release a studio album. In partnership with record sampling store, Tracklib<\/a>, the newly-formed duo will also offer an up-and-coming producer placement \u2014 including standard writing credits and publishing \u2014 on the new album.<\/p>\n

Producers interested in the contest will have to take a song and flip it using the sampling program. Capo and Maino will then pick a winner to join them in a virtual studio session and create one song for the untitled album.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re going to pick the best [beats] out of the whole batch, and [if you win], you\u2019ll be on the project,\u201d Maino said in the video announcing the project. \u201cCapo\u2019s going to be talking that talk, I\u2019m going to be talking that talk, send the best beats you got.\u201d<\/p>\n
