Although he apologized for his indiscretion, Drake clearly didn\u2019t forget and included a shot at the Verzuz co-founder on the <em>Certified Lover Boy<\/em> song \u201cYou Only Live Twice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnthinkable when I think of the way these n-ggas been acting,\u201d he raps. \u201cI never did you nothing and you play like we family, huh? Next thing, you wanna shoot me down, it can\u2019t be love\/Not sure where you was trynna send it, it can\u2019t be up\/That day you sounded like a bitch, you fancy, huh?\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/track\/50ceCGZ3oD3U5caQV5bP6f?theme=0\" width=\"100%\" height=\"80\" frameborder=\"0\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>During a recent interview with <em>The Angie Martinez Show<\/em>, Swizz Beatz addressed the line and didn\u2019t seem particularly bothered by it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m chilling,\u201d he says in the clip. \u201cA lot of people want to see me react and do all these things, but I\u2019m in such a great zone. I said how I felt, he said how he felt. Hey, man I guess we even. As far as now, I\u2019m good \u2026 and I actually like the song.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd he didn\u2019t go too crazy in the record also, you know? He could have said many things, that man is a clever artist. He could\u2019ve really, really, really gave me about 40 bars. He said what he said. He got it off his chest. He started from different things, we made hit record together, it\u2019s all love. I just wanna play music. Because my filter is burnt.\u00a0Because at the end of the day, n-ggas is pussy for real. What\u2019s up? Pop off. Let\u2019s go.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Less than 24 hours later, Swizz Beatz expressed regret for his words and said he\u2019d understand if Drake lost respect for him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was in the wrong space, I was in the wrong energy and I hate that my kids and other people got to see me on that side,\u201d he explained. \u201cI was a little nice, I was a little excited. I definitely spoke on some things that I definitely shouldn\u2019t have spoke on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cAlthough I may feel a certain way about a certain person \u2014 things like that \u2014 as a G, I\u2019m man enough to say that I did that on the wrong platform and I wasn\u2019t supposed to do that like that. I wouldn\u2019t respect somebody else if they did that like that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Swizz Beatz and Timbaland are getting ready for the next Verzuz event, which is scheduled to take place on September 14 between Fat Joe and Ja Rule.
