“#How to Limit Your Kid\u2019s Screen Time on Android”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Screen time is something that a lot of parents worry about. Is a little screen time OK? How much is too much? Thankfully, if your child has an Android device, you can easily control how much screen time they get.<\/p>\n

There are a few ways that you can limit your child\u2019s screen time, but the best method is Google\u2019s Family Link<\/a>. This will allow you to monitor and control nearly everything on your child\u2019s device from your own, including screen time limits.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> In order to use Family Link to limit screen time, your child will need to have an Android device that\u2019s signed in with an account linked to your Google family.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

First, open the \u201cFamily Link for Parents\u201d app<\/a> on your iPhone<\/a>, iPad<\/a>, or Android<\/a> device. Your child needs to be using Android, but you can set the limits from any device. Select the child whose screen time you would like to limit.<\/p>\n

Here, you can see a number of things\u2014including app usage time\u2014but we\u2019re looking for the \u201cScreen time\u201d section. Tap \u201cSet up.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Select<\/p>\n

There are two tabs on this screen: \u201cDaily limit\u201d and \u201cBedtime.\u201d We\u2019ll start with Daily limit. First, select all the days that you want to limit screen time on.<\/p>\n

Next, select the time and adjust it to your liking. You can customize each day separately or tap \u201cAlso apply to\u2026\u201d to change the time for multiple days.<\/p>\n

With that out of the way, we can go to the \u201cBedtime\u201d tab. This isn\u2019t technically a screen time limit, but it will prevent your child from using the device after a certain time. Toggle the \u201cScheduled\u201d switch on and adjust the days and times like we did above.<\/p>\n

\"Turn<\/p>\n

When the Daily limit and Bedtime settings are completed, tap \u201cSave\u201d in the top-right corner to finish.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll now be able to see your child\u2019s screen time usage on their profile in the Family Link app.<\/p>\n

\"Screen<\/p>\n

That\u2019s it! Your kid won\u2019t be able to use the device for any longer than you\u2019ve determined, and it will lock itself during bedtime. That\u2019s pretty dang handy. Family Link is an invaluable service if you have kids who have their own devices.<\/p>\n
