December silver<br \/>\n        SIZ21,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210319421\/delayed\" class=\"negative\">-1.07%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       fell 25 cents, or 1%, to $23.65 an ounce.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       Traders <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eared to be positioning themselves in preparation for the August U.S. Consumer Price Index, or CPI, reading due Tuesday, said Carsten Fritsch, analyst at Commerzbank, in a note.<\/p>\n<p>Fritsch expects inflation to come in near July levels, and therefore \u201clikely to provide arguments for the Fed to begin withdrawing its bond purchases before the year is out.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>A rise in Treasury yields could be a headwind for gold, as it would raise the opportunity cost of holding nonyielding assets. A stronger dollar is also a negative for commodities priced in the unit, making them more expensive to users of other currencies.<\/p>\n<p>The ICE U.S. Dollar Index<br \/>\n        DXY,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210598269\/delayed\" class=\"positive\">+0.23%<\/bg-quote><span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       a measure of the currency against a basket of six major rivals, rose 0.3%.
