\nWhat\u2019s it like seeing your life replay on screen?<\/p>\n

There have been quite a few biopic projects lately that follow people who are still alive \u2014 like The Crown<\/em> or the Monica Lewinksy<\/strong>-produced Impeachment: American Crime Story<\/em>. Soon enough, we\u2019ll be adding Pam & Tommy<\/em> to the list. The Hulu<\/strong> miniseries<\/a> is set to follow the whirlwind romance of Pamela Anderson<\/strong> and Tommy Lee<\/strong> and their leaked honeymoon sex tape.<\/p>\n

So how does the man himself feel about the upcoming series? While attending the VMAs<\/strong>, the Motley Cr\u00fce<\/strong> drummer told Entertainment Tonight<\/em>:<\/p>\n

\u201cI know Sebastian<\/strong> [Stan<\/strong>], he\u2019s playing me. From what he\u2019s told me, really beautiful story. I think a lot of people would think it\u2019s one thing, but it\u2019s really about privacy and how things got crazy then. There\u2019s different laws now.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Sounds like the Seth Rogen<\/strong>-produced production has Tommy\u2019s blessing \u2014 in fact, the musician stated he feels \u201cpeople need to know\u201d what really happ<\/a>ened amidst the media<\/a> firestorm that engulfed their tumultuous relationship. He said:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe story\u2019s actually cool, what actually happened wasn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Unfortunately for Lily James<\/strong>, she probably isn\u2019t going to get a similar endorsement from Pamela, even after spending three to five hours in hair and makeup EVERY DAY in order to transform into the iconic bombshell blonde.<\/p>\n

An insider previously told UK tabloid The Sun<\/em>:<\/p>\n

\u201cPamela has no intention of watching this Godawful show, absolutely not. Never. She\u2019s never heard of the actors playing her or Tommy and doesn\u2019t care to know them. She and her family think the show is a cheap knockoff. The whole thing is a joke to them.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Further, the Baywatch<\/em> alum\u2019s pal Courtney Love<\/strong> came out and condemned the series, writing on Instagram<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

It destroyed my friend Pamelas life . Utterly.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Hole<\/em> frontwoman added:<\/p>\n

\u201cMy heart goes out to Pammy\u2026further causing her complex trauma. And shame on lily James whoever the f**k she is.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The 54-year-old herself has left social media, so it\u2019s safe to say she won\u2019t be making a similar statement. Back in 2015, she reflected on the painful events \u2014 and the difficult legal battle that followed \u2014 on Watch What Happens Live<\/em>. Regarding the sex tape, she shared:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never seen it. I made not one dollar. It was stolen property. We made a deal to stop all the shenanigans. I was seven months pregnant with Dylan<\/strong> and thinking it was affecting the pregnancy with the stress and said, \u2018I\u2019m not going to court anymore. I\u2019m not being deposed anymore by these horny, weird lawyer men. I don\u2019t want to talk about my vagina anymore or my public sex \u2014 anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

We\u2019ll have to wait and see if Pamela releases any further statement on the subject when Pam & Tommy<\/em> hits Hulu. Until then, we hope Tommy is correct that it\u2019s a \u201cbeautiful\u201d story and will be told with respect to the subjects\u2019 trauma.<\/p>\n
