According to the companies, Levin, who launched TMZ in 2005 and serves as host of its TV shows, will remain in charge of operations.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Levin said being under the Fox roof will create new opportunities to grow TMZ. \u201cWe couldn\u2019t be more charged,\u2019\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/fox-acquires-celebrity-news-specialist-tmz-from-at-ts-warnermedia-11631564133\">According to the Wall Street Journal<\/a>, Levin\u2019s agreement with WarnerMedia was expiring and he wasn\u2019t expected to stay on if TMZ had remained there.
