The company released a rare interface refresh that\u2019ll make navigating around Kindles a more pleasant experience for devices released after 2015.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Whats_New_on_Kindle_eReaders\"><\/span>What\u2019s New on Kindle eReaders?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The new\u00a0Kindle eReaders interface isn\u2019t exactly rewriting the book on navigation. However, it looks a bit more streamlined and modern than the previous interface, which was released in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Amazon describes the update as \u201ca new, intuitive, and easier Kindle reading experience with our latest software update that will be rolling out over the coming weeks to Kindle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following the trend offered on most smartphones and tablets, Amazon is adding a swipe down from the top of the screen menu that\u2019ll let you adjust device brightness, turn on Airplane Mode, and get to All Settings quickly.<\/p>\n<p>The Home and Library sections are getting a refresh with new filter and sort menus, a new collections view, and an interactive scroll bar. There\u2019s also an option to swipe to the left to get access to 20 recently read books.<\/p>\n<p>The update is coming to\u00a08th Gen and above Kindle eReaders, 7th Gen and above\u00a0Kindle Paperwhite devices, and Kindle Oasis hardware.
