He replaced Thuan Pham, the CTO who had been there seven years before leaving last May.  <\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       The <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> was first reported by <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/uber-engineering-head-is-leaving-after-clash-with-product-chief-2021-9\" class=\"icon none\">Business Insider<\/a>, which cited unnamed sources who said Rathnam was clashing with Uber\u2019s chief product officer, Sundeep Jain. Rathnam sent an email to his team, and Chief Executive Dara Khosrowshahi emailed the company\u2019s employees about the departure Tuesday. <\/p>\n<p>Rathnam, who also had previous engineering roles at Microsoft Corp.<br \/>\n        MSFT,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/207732364\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+0.94%<\/bg-quote><span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       PeopleSoft and Oracle Corp.<br \/>\n        ORCL,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/202180826\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-2.81%<\/bg-quote><span>,<\/span><br \/>\n        said in the email that he would stay to help with the transition for the next couple of weeks.
