The New York native was driving around the country in a van with 23-year-old boyfriend <strong>Brian Laundrie<\/strong>, chronicling their travels on YouTube.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"VAN LIFE | Beginning Our Van Life Journey\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2PStpXFEfIs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The pair hit the road on July 2, driving their white 2012 Ford Transit Connect from their home in North Port, Florida, to the Monument Rocks formation in Kansas. They then went to Colorado\u2019s Great Sand Dunes National Park, before heading to the Zion, Bryce, and Canyonlands national parks in Utah.<\/p>\n<p>But their trip took an extremely unfortunate turn: Petito has seemingly vanished without a trace!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Florida Eighth-Graders Arrested For \u2018Plotting Columbine-Style Massacre\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The missing woman\u2019s father, <strong>Joe Petito<\/strong>, told <em>The Daily Beast<\/em> he knew something was wrong when Gabby stopped checking in. He shared:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe had been in touch with her as she traveled. I\u2019d speak to her once a week or so, her mom spoke to her two or three times a week. My son would talk to her often on Snapchat, FaceTime; my niece would be in constant contact with her.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>After two weeks of being unable to reach their daughter, Gabby\u2019s mother reported her missing on Saturday, September 11. A Suffolk County PD spokesman told the outlet that an investigation into Petito\u2019s whereabouts is open and active. Meanwhile, Laundrie is now back in Florida, has hired a lawyer, and isn\u2019t cooperating with police, per <em><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-9984283\/Van-lifer-22-disappears-cross-country-trip-Yellowstone-fianc-e.html\">DailyMail.com<\/a><\/em>. Not cooperating? Over the whereabouts of his girlfriend??<\/p>\n<p>When asked what he thought of Gabby\u2019s boyfriend, her dad told <em>The Daily Beast<\/em>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI\u2019ve got thoughts about the guy, but I can\u2019t share them\u2026 I would love to say more, but I can\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Investigators issued a bulletin asking the public for any information they might have, describing the missing woman as \u201ca white female, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and 110 pounds.\u201d The de<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>ion continued:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cShe has blonde hair and blue eyes, and several tattoos, including one on her finger and one on her forearm that reads \u2018let it be.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As the search for his daughter continues, Joe remains optimistic that she\u2019ll be found. He added:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cYes, this is tragic and all that other stuff, but I\u2019m sure she\u2019ll be found. I have to believe that. Because otherwise, I\u2019ll just break down and cry. So I\u2019m focusing on the fact that she\u2019s somewhere, we\u2019ve just got to find out where. Getting her home healthy is all that matters right now.
