Mark Milley could have become so deranged that he cast himself as the hero of a \u201cSeven Days in May\u201d-style fever dream in which only he could save the nation from Trump launching nuclear war with China to stay in office.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s an insane scenario, a left-wing equivalent of the most farfetched QAnon conspiracies.<\/p>\n<p>But this is what is claimed in the Woodward book, titled \u201cPeril,\u201d co-authored by Robert Costa. So alarmed was the tightly wound general about what he imagined Trump might do in the weeks before and after last year\u2019s election that he made \u201csecret calls\u201d to his counterpart in China promising to warn him if the president ordered an attack.<\/p>\n<p>A lot of Republicans are demanding that Milley be tried for treason, after The Washington Post published extracts from \u201cPeril\u201d this week. But a lunatic asylum might be more <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ropriate.<\/p>\n<p>A statement Wednesday from the Pentagon confirmed that Milley had made the calls to Chinese Gen. Li Zuocheng in October and January but denied that they were secret or that he was usurping presidential authority.<\/p>\n<p>Yet Trump says he didn\u2019t know about them, and neither did Chris Miller, the acting defense secretary in January, who told Fox <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a> he \u201cdid not and would not ever authorize\u201d the general to make such calls.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s clear that Milley, or people authorized by him, leaked details of his delusional derring-do to a number of authors because he is proud of his actions. His lack of shame bodes ill for the country if he remains the nation\u2019s highest-ranking military officer as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.<\/p>\n<p>The botched withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan over which he presided was bad enough. Pelosi, who was engaged in a blood feud with Trump that had sent her batty, \u00admanipulated and bullied Milley.<\/p>\n<p>A transcript of a call with Pelosi two days after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, obtained by the \u201cPeril\u201d authors, has her ranting at Milley about Trump\u2019s access to nuclear weapons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf they couldn\u2019t even stop him from an assault on the Capitol, who even knows what else he may do? And is there anybody in charge at the White House who was doing anything but kissing his fat butt all over this? .\u2009.\u2009.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s crazy. You know he\u2019s crazy. He\u2019s been crazy for a long time. So don\u2019t say you don\u2019t know what his state of mind is.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>Milley reportedly responded: \u201cMadam Speaker. I agree with you on everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After Pelosi\u2019s hysterical call, he phoned China.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGeneral Li, you and I have known each other for now five years,\u201d Milley reportedly told him. \u201cIf we\u2019re \u00adgoing to attack, I\u2019m going to call you ahead of time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also convened a meeting of top military officials in the Pentagon that afternoon and insisted they inform him if the president called about any military actions.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t his place to insert himself in the chain of command. He was just a military adviser to the president, with no role in commanding troops.<\/p>\n<p>But by then he was a fully paid-up member of the Trump Derangement cult in Washington.<\/p>\n<p>You could trace the madness of Milley to the day in June 2020 when he posed with Trump outside St. John\u2019s church in Lafayette Square near the White House.<\/p>\n<p>The country was convulsed by \u00adanti-cop riots and Democrats, seeing political advantage in the chaos, were obstructing Trump\u2019s efforts to contain the violence. The next day the Park Police cleared the square so contractors could erect extra security fencing around the park.<\/p>\n<p>Trump\u2019s photo with a Bible outside the church surrounded by members of his administration was a stunt, but it also was important to reassure the nation that the president was in command. It was frightening how close the insurgents had come to the White House.<\/p>\n<p>But the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> narrative pushed by candidate Joe Biden and Pelosi was that Trump had tear-gassed peaceful protesters and driven them out of the square for a photo-op. This was a lie, as the inspector general of the Department of the Interior stated in a forensic report into the incident a year later.<\/p>\n<p>But Pelosi was deranged, screaming over the phone at Milley, vilifying federal law enforcement as \u201cstorm troopers\u201d and using her favorite fatist slurs against Attorney General Bill Barr, whom she called a \u201cblob\u201d and a \u201chenchman.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>Milley took her critique to heart and made a pathetic video apology that he said was on behalf of an \u201capolitical military.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy presence in that moment and in that environment created the perception of the military involved in politics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What a joke.<\/p>\n<p>This is the same Milley who compared Trump to Hitler and called Trump\u2019s supporters \u201cbrownshirts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In one account, Milley went to Biden\u2019s inauguration and told \u00adMichelle Obama, \u201cNo one has a bigger smile today than I do.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Milley reportedly considered resigning because Trump asked him to join him for that photo-op.<\/p>\n<p>But he didn\u2019t resign when Biden insisted he abandon Bagram Air Base and set in motion the worst military disaster in half a century.<\/p>\n<p>How can we allow someone with such bad judgment to remain chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Milley\u2019s delusions of grandeur could get us all killed. For real, as Joe Biden likes to say.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Father_knows_Meg_best\"><\/span>Father knows Meg best<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Meghan Markle\u2019s dad is right. She\u2019s a drama queen and Prince Harry is a wimp.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You only have to look at their cringeworthy photograph for Time\u2019s \u201cMost Influential People\u201d edition to see who wears the pants. The Duchess of Sussex is beatific and Harry seems to have shrunk as he crouches behind his wife.<\/p>\n<p>But whatever you think of <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2021\/06\/13\/thomas-markle-claims-oprah-is-using-meghan-and-harry\/\">Thomas Markle Sr.,<\/a> he isn\u2019t fooled by his daughter\u2019s saintly act.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In an interview this week on Australian TV, he rejected Meghan\u2019s most sensational bid for attention \u2014 the claim that <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2021\/03\/07\/meghan-markle-says-she-had-suicidal-thoughts\/\">she was suicidal,<\/a> and the Palace ignored her cry for help. The way that it was described on the Oprah show was that she told her husband about it and then he went and asked somebody in the royals about it .\u2009.\u2009. If my wife .\u2009.\u2009. said I am having a nervous breakdown and thinking about suicide, I would take them immediately to a doctor. I wouldn\u2019t go and check with somebody first.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s dead right.
