Abrams \u2014 \u2018Felicity\u2019 was his first thing \u2014 or Bill Lawrence with \u2018Scrubs,\u2019 or Shonda Rhimes with \u2018Scandal,\u2019\u201d Foley, 49, told The Post on the phone from Chicago, where he\u2019s currently filming the show.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut the freshest in my mind was the time I spent in Prague shooting \u2018Whiskey Cavalier\u2019 with Bill Lawrence,\u201d he said of the short-lived ABC <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>. \u201cI watched the way he dealt with talent and writers. [I noticed] his empathy, but also his drive of having the show be the focus without sort of hurting anybody, if that makes sense. Bill is nowhere near as callous as my character can be. It\u2019s all overseen by fast-talking producer Nick Blackburn (Foley), who\u2019s reeling from his own failures in his professional and personal life.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Foley is the biggest name in the cast, best known for \u201cGrey\u2019s Anatomy,\u201d \u201cScandal,\u201d and \u201cScream 3,\u201d among others. He\u2019s surprised by which of his roles resonate, he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI did \u2018Felicity\u2019 when I was 26. So, I look at the ease with which the words flow. And then I look for stories that interest me and stories I haven\u2019t seen before. I don\u2019t mind playing a similar character to something I\u2019ve played before, as long as there\u2019s a new challenge. But Nick is completely different than anything I\u2019ve played before.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not used to being such a directly dastardly character. Jake on \u2018Scandal\u2019 was a bad guy because that was part of his job, but Nick is actively looking to exploit people. And that is something that is hard for me to do. I sort of bristle every time I get a new script because I\u2019m like, \u2018I like this person, and I have to use them in this way!\u2019 It can be difficult, but I\u2019ve really embraced it. It was worth it in the end, Foley said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love making television, I love the process of being on set, and rarely do I get\u00a0 as much enjoyment out of watching the shows as I do making them. But this was different. You never know how it\u2019s going to turn out. I was so proud when I saw the pilot. I felt like, \u2018Oh, man, I chose OK!\u2019 Everyone is going to see themselves represented one way or another in the characters. I\u2019m sick of seeing people die on TV \u2014 and in real life.
