You can make new folders from within Google Docs on the web and mobile and we\u2019ll show you how.<\/p>\n<p>The folders that you create from within Docs are saved alongside your other folders in Google Drive.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Create_a_Folder_in_Google_Docs_on_the_Web\"><\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" name=\"moka_anchor_Desktop\">Create a Folder in Google Docs on the Web<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To create a new folder in Google Docs on a Windows, Mac, Linux, or Chromebook computer, launch a web browser on your computer and open the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/\">Google Docs<\/a> site.<\/p>\n<p>On the Docs site, select the document that you\u2019d like to put in a new folder. Here, navigate to the folder where you\u2019d like to create a new folder. Then, next to the name field, click the checkmark icon. In the app, tap the document which you want to move to the new folder.
