Back in June, reporting showed inflation in the U.S. reaching levels unseen in over a decade. <\/p>\n<p>Other countries have experienced much worse inflation than numbers seen in the United States. Venezuela, for example, saw 10,000,000% inflation in 2019. Interest in digital assets grew in tandem. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe also know that in other countries that suffer from more severe currency inflation or devaluation like Venezuela and Nigeria, people use cryptocurrencies as a store of value,\u201d Grauer added. <\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin is often described as a store of value asset in the crypto industry, although events such as the price crash earlier in 2021 logically call that narrative into question.<\/p>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"markets_outlook\"><\/template><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
