\nComedia<\/a>n AJ Johnson of Friday<\/em> fame passed away earlier this month, leaving his widow burdened with funeral expenses. After she called out \u201cfake fans\u201d for their lack of support while the comedian was alive, celebs like\u00a0Offset not only helped cover funeral costs but also supported his widow.<\/p>\n

According to TMZ<\/a><\/em>, Johnson\u2019s widow, Lexis Jones Mason, has received over $70,000 in donations since announcing a GoFundMe account to assist with a homegoing service for the late comedian. Offset contributed $5,000 for the funeral services, while actor and comedian Lil Rel Howery pitched in $4,000 and comedian Michael Blackson reportedly chipped in $10,000.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m asking for help but if I don\u2019t get it, it\u2019s fine \u2026 because I\u2019m not leaving my husband in there like that,\u201d Mason told TMZ<\/em>. \u201cWe\u2019re going to have a service. I\u2019m going to do everything I know he would have done for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Immediately after Johnson\u2019s death was made public, hundreds of fans as well as former co-stars offered condolences and shared favorite memories of him on screen.<\/p>\n

Johnson died in Los Angeles on September 6 at the age of 55.<\/p>\n
