{"id":345094,"date":"2021-09-28T00:30:48","date_gmt":"2021-09-27T21:30:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/why-nba-player-bradley-beal-hasnt-gotten-covid-19-vaccine\/"},"modified":"2021-09-28T00:30:48","modified_gmt":"2021-09-27T21:30:48","slug":"why-nba-player-bradley-beal-hasnt-gotten-covid-19-vaccine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/why-nba-player-bradley-beal-hasnt-gotten-covid-19-vaccine\/","title":{"rendered":"#Why NBA player Bradley Beal hasn&#8217;t gotten COVID-19 vaccine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Why NBA player Bradley Beal hasn&#8217;t gotten COVID-19 vaccine<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n        <\/aside>\n<p>Wizards All-Star Bradley Beal revealed Monday during the team\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> day that he has not gotten a COVID-19 vaccine, citing personal reasons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t feel pressure, I don\u2019t think you can pressure anybody to making a decision about their body or what they put into their body,\u201d Beal <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/washington\/wizards\/wizards-bradley-beal-says-he-not-vaccinated-against-covid-19\">told reporters<\/a>. \u201cWe can have this conversation about a lot of different topics besides vaccines, too. You can\u2019t necessarily force anybody, I think you kind of let people come into their own about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Beal, 28, had COVID-19 in July, which caused him to withdraw from Team USA\u2019s 12-man roster for the Tokyo Olympics. The three-time All-Star was placed under the team\u2019s health and safety protocol before Team USA confirmed <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/usabasketball\/status\/1415751888448888832\">Jerami Grant would replace him<\/a> at the Summer <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Game<\/a>s.   <\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah I had it, but that doesn\u2019t mean I can\u2019t get it again,\u201d Beal said. \u201cI mean it\u2019s no different than somebody with the vaccine. Yes, I developed antibodies for it, so my chances will be less likely for it as well. It doesn\u2019t eliminate anyone from getting COVID.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since Delta became the dominant variant in the U.S., over the last several months, vaccinated people have been found to have a reduced risk of five times of becoming infected with COVID and a reduced risk of more than 10 times of hospitalization and death, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/70\/wr\/mm7037e1.htm?s_cid=mm7037e1_whttps:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/70\/wr\/mm7037e1.htm?s_cid=mm7037e1_w\">according to the CDC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Kyle Kuzma \u2014 whom the Wizards acquired from the Lakers in the Russel Westbrook \u2014 followed Beal\u2019s comments, also saying \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RealQuintonMayo\/status\/1442565075626307584\">It\u2019s personal<\/a>\u201d when asked if he is vaccinated. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the end of the day nobody really knows how things are going to go. America doesn\u2019t know. Certain things in health should be personal. Especially us as athletes and the platform we have. Therefore, unvaccinated players in New York and San Francisco will be barred from playing home games, potentially affecting rosters for the Nets and Warriors; on Friday, Knicks <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a> manager Scott Perry said all Knicks players, coaches and training staff are fully vaccinated.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>Kyrie Irving did not attend Monday\u2019s Nets media day in-person due to New York\u2019s vaccination rules, and met with reporters over Zoom. Irving did not confirm reports that he is unvaccinated, and asked for privacy when asked about his vaccination status. <\/p>\n<p>The NBA announced Friday that it rejected Andrew Wiggins\u2019request for a religious exemption to the local COVID-19 vaccination order.<\/p>\n<p>In the NBA\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/story\/_\/id\/32133277\/nba-memo-proposes-strict-covid-19-protocols-unvaccinated-players\">new proposed guidelines<\/a>, unvaccinated players are also required to practice social-distancing from vaccinated players during events such as team meals and meetings. Unvaccinated players also may be required to eat and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a>, which includes flying and riding buses, in different sections.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, unvaccinated players will have to undergo testing on game days and practice days \u2014 and possibly more than once on game days.
