“#The Boys Spinoff About College-age Supes Gets a Greenlight at Amazon!<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Class is in session for the Supes.<\/p>\n

Amazon Studios has ordered a new series<\/a> spinoff of The Boys, the Emmy-nominated subversive superhero drama from Sony Pictures Television.<\/p>\n

The untitled new series will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.<\/p>\n

\n \"Smiling<\/img>\n<\/div>\n

Set at America\u2019s only college exclusively for young-adult superheroes (run by Vought International), the Untitled The Boys Spinoff is an irreverent, R-rated series (as if we’d expect anything else).<\/p>\n

The show will explore the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s part college show, part Hunger Game<\/a>s\u2014with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys.<\/p>\n

Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Shane Paul McGhie, Aimee Carrero, Reina Hardesty, and Maddie Phillips will portray young superheroes, with additional cast to be announced.<\/p>\n

\n \"Newlyweds<\/img>\n<\/div>\n

Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters will serve as showrunners and executive producers. The former Marvel’s Agent Carter and Resurrection executive producers and showrunners are taking over for Craig Rosenberg, who left due to creative differences.<\/p>\n

Fazeka and Butters also created and executive produced ABC series Emergence and Kevin (Probably) Saved the World.<\/p>\n

Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and Michaela Starr will serve as executive producers. Serving as co-executive producers for the series are Zak Schwartz and Erica Rosbe.<\/p>\n

The series will be produced by Sony Pictures Television Studios and Amazon Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film. Loreli Alan\u00eds will serve as executive in charge for Point Grey Pictures.<\/p>\n

\u201cMuch like Mork & Mindy spun-off from Happ<\/a>y Days\u2014which is an insane and true fact\u2014our spinoff will exist in the Vought Cinematic Universe, yet have a tone and style all its own.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s our take on a college show, with an ensemble of fascinating, complicated, and sometimes deadly Young Supes,\u201d said The Boys\u2019 showrunner and executive producer Eric Kripke.<\/p>\n

The Boys recently wrapped production on Season Three\u2014a premiere date will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n
