Together with an amazing line-up of experts, we will explore the future of AI during TNW Conference 2021. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Secure your ticket now<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">!<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Scientists from Samsung and Harvard University have unveiled a new <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roach to building smarter computer chips: \u201ccopying and pasting\u201d the brain<span>\u00a0onto a memory network.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/fast.wistia.net\/embed\/iframe\/wkot1zfukh?videoFoam=true&amp;autoPlay=true\" title=\"\" allowtransparency=\"true\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" class=\"wistia_embed\" name=\"wistia_embed\" allowfullscreen=\"\" msallowfullscreen=\"\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>They propose <span>copying the brain\u2019s neuronal wiring map by using a novel nanoelectrode array to record electrical signals produced by neurons. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The extracted map would then be rapidly pasted onto a memory network. <\/span>Per <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41928-021-00646-1\">the study paper<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span>The essence of this vision is to \u2018copy\u2019 the functional synaptic connectivity map of a mammalian neuronal network using advanced neuro<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/sciencee\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"5\" title=\"Science\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">science<\/a> tools and then \u2018paste\u2019 this map onto a high-density three-dimensional network of solid-state memories.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>The researchers claim that this could lead memory chips to better approximate the brain\u2019s low power, facile learning, adaptation, and \u201ceven autonomy and cognition.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>They say their approach reflects the original aim of neuromorphic computing, which emulates the neural structure of the brain.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The field has more recently focused on designing chips \u201cinspired\u201d by nature. The researchers suggest returning to the goal of reverse-engineering the brain.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"text_cont\">\n<p>The idea, however, could be a long way from becoming a reality. The human brain has around 100 billion neurons and a thousand times more synaptic connections. That means a complete neuromorphic chip would require roughly 100 trillion memories.<\/p>\n<p>Creating such a chip will be a massive challenge, but the researchers say it would push the boundaries of AI and semiconductor <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Greetings Humanoids!
