\n Turns out desecration is no crime in New York City.<\/p>\n

The Queens man arrested for scarring the landmarked fa\u00e7ade of St. Patrick\u2019s Cathedral during a George Floyd protest is now free \u2014 because the Manhattan District Attorney\u2019s office declined to prosecute him.<\/p>\n

Yadir Avila Rosas, 26, was taken into custody at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, an NYPD spokeswoman told The Post.<\/p>\n

Police charged Rosas with criminal mischief in the third degree and making graffiti, alleging that he was the \u201cgetaway driver\u201d for two women who tagged the famous house of worship with spray-painted slogans on May 30.<\/p>\n

But an expected Saturday afternoon arraignment never happ<\/a>ened, at the DA office\u2019s discretion.<\/p>\n

The two women wanted for questioning in regard to the graffiti at St. Patrick\u2019s Cathedral.<\/span>DCPI<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Cops are still looking for the two female suspects who marked the stone stairs of the cathedral and two walls flanking its entrance at Fifth Avenue and 51st Street with expletives and with messages like \u201cNo Justice No Peace\u201d and \u201cBLM,\u201d for Black Lives Matter.<\/p>\n

The New York Archdiocese did not respond to a request for comment.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
