{"id":345303,"date":"2021-09-28T11:24:17","date_gmt":"2021-09-28T08:24:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/alibaba-to-ban-crypto-miner-sales-amid-chinese-crackdown\/"},"modified":"2021-09-28T11:24:17","modified_gmt":"2021-09-28T08:24:17","slug":"alibaba-to-ban-crypto-miner-sales-amid-chinese-crackdown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/alibaba-to-ban-crypto-miner-sales-amid-chinese-crackdown\/","title":{"rendered":"# Alibaba to ban crypto miner sales amid Chinese crackdown"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong># Alibaba to ban crypto miner sales amid Chinese crackdown <\/strong>&#8221;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.cointelegraph.com\/images\/840_aHR0cHM6Ly9zMy5jb2ludGVsZWdyYXBoLmNvbS91cGxvYWRzLzIwMjEtMDkvNmQxOWE2MTMtYzI5ZS00ZTFjLWJjYjgtY2EyZmNmMWVkMmZhLmpwZw==.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"post-content\" data-v-128018ef>Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba is the next company to wrap its cryptocurrency-related services in response to the ongoing crypto crackdown in China.<\/p>\n<p>Alibaba officially <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/rule.alibaba.com\/rule\/detail\/11004645.htm\">announced<\/a> Monday that its platform will prohibit sales of cryptocurrency miners and suspend categories for blockchain miners and accessories from its website on Oct. 8.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to stopping sales of crypto mining devices, Alibaba will impose a ban on using its platforms to sell major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), as well as smaller coins like Quark (QRK).<\/p>\n<p>The new restrictions involve but are not limited to crypto mining-related hardware and software, as well as relevant tutorials, guides and strategies, the announcement notes.<\/p>\n<p>Any sellers that continue listing crypto miners or relevant products on Alibaba\u2019s platforms after Oct. 15 will face penalties under <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>licable rules, the firm <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/rule.alibaba.com\/rule\/detail\/11004647.htm?spm=a271m.8038972.0.0.2a6d6d827GW3ub\">warned<\/a> in a detailed description of new restrictions.
