The FAA also found Virgin Galactic failed to communicate the deviation to the FAA as required,\u201d a representative for the federal regulator said Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe FAA required Virgin Galactic to implement changes on how it communicates to the FAA during flight operations to keep the public safe. Our test flight program is specifically designed to continually improve our processes and procedures. The updates to our airspace and real-time mission notification protocols will strengthen our preparations as we move closer to the commercial launch of our spaceflight experience,\u201d Virgin Galactic CEO Michael Colglazier <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/investors.virgingalactic.com\/news\/news-details\/2021\/Virgin-Galactic-Cleared-to-Fly-Following-Conclusion-of-FAA-Inquiry\/default.aspx\">said Wednesday in a statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The FAA\u2019s announcement will allow Virgin Galactic to go ahead with its \u201cUnity 23\u201d launch with the Italian Air Force some time in mid-October, as previously announced. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/09\/virgin-galactic-49.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1024\" alt=\"Virgin Galactic\u2019s space tourism rocket plane SpaceShipTwo\" class=\"wp-image-19641315\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/09\/virgin-galactic-49.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/09\/virgin-galactic-49.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/09\/virgin-galactic-49.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>The FAA\u2019s investigation barred the company from any more launches until the probe was closed<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">REUTERS\/Gene Blevins\/File Photo<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>While the July 11 flight with Branson appeared to go off without a hitch, a report from <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.newyorker.com\/news\/news-desk\/the-red-warning-light-on-richard-bransons-space-flight\">The New Yorker first revealed<\/a> that the pilots encountered a serious issue that even triggered an alarm. <\/p>\n<p>The ship failed to climb to space steeply enough, prompting a yellow caution light to appear on the pilots\u2019 console as the ship hurdled toward space at twice the speed of sound, The New Yorker reported, citing eight people with knowledge of Virgin Galactic\u2019s spaceflight program.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>The yellow light and the ship\u2019s off-course trajectory endangered the mission and imperiled the ship\u2019s chances of staying inside its mandated airspace, which was determined by the FAA, the report said.<\/p>\n<p>Then the yellow light was reportedly replaced by a more urgent red one, which one of the pilots on board, Mike Masucci, a retired Air Force pilot, had previously said \u201cshould scare the crap out of you,\u201d according to The New Yorker.<\/p>\n<p>The pilots could either take immediate corrective action, or abort the rocket motor, the report said, alleging that the safer of the two options was to abort.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of the report, a representative for Virgin Galactic downplayed the significance of the alarm signals, adding that the ship did not \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp;
