Denzel Mims, the team\u2019s second-round pick a year ago who has been inactive for the last two game<\/a>s, will play on Sunday, coach Robert Saleh said on Friday before practice.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s going to get some opportunities,\u201d Saleh said. \u201cHopefully he takes advantage of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The speedy 6-foot-3 Mims has become a hot topic on social media<\/a> amid the floundering Jets offense that is averaging just 6.6 points per game through three losses this season. He was buried on the depth chart during training camp, received just three snaps on the season opener and was inactive the next two games. Saleh had said the reason for that was Mims needed to learn all three receiver positions and didn\u2019t play on special teams.<\/p>\n
