Now, he\u2019s working on getting his conditioning there as well.<\/p>\n<p>Between last year\u2019s training camp drama when he was still with the Rockets, and the hamstring injuries that kept short-circuiting his campaign after his trade to the Nets, Harden has played less basketball over the past season than he\u2019s accustomed to. Now healthy and in camp with the Nets, he\u2019s making up for lost time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s healthy, but he\u2019s trying to get himself in shape and elevate that,\u201d head coach Steve Nash said. \u201cHe hasn\u2019t really played since the Boston <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>, and before that, he hadn\u2019t played for a long time either. So he hasn\u2019t played a lot of basketball, period, since the [2020] bubble. It\u2019s been stop-start for him. He still wants to get his legs under him, and then can feel a few new levels for him to go.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harden \u2014 who had missed just 20 <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>s combined over the previous six regular seasons \u2014 played just 44 games last season.<\/p>\n<p>He knows the lack of his usual conditioning led to the hamstring injury that cost him 20 of 21 games down the stretch and flared up seconds into Game 1 against Milwaukee. But five-on-five competition is totally different than working out individually,\u201d Harden said. \u201cSo the more we can get five-on-five games and build our conditioning up. And not just myself, our entire team. \u2026 I feel like we\u2019re behind a little in [that] sense.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>Younger players often hit the ground running over the first three weeks because they\u2019ve been playing pickup all summer. Meanwhile, the older veterans often have to play catch-up. The Nets are largely trying to make up that ground now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe haven\u2019t let any young guys play,\u201d Harden said with a laugh. \u201cWe\u2019ve just been playing, all vets are trying to get in shape and get some continuity and get to know each other.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That team-bonding \u2014 including Thursday\u2019s outing to owner Joe Tsai\u2019s home \u2014 is going to be vital with so many new faces. And on a squad of quiet introverts, Harden is taking on the mantle of leadership.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ll try to get guys together for dinners and hangouts more often, just so we can get to know each other outside of the court,\u201d Harden said. \u201cWe\u2019ve got a fairly quiet group. Most of the guys are to themselves; they stay in their own little shells. It\u2019ll be nice to get them out, open up a little bit, even myself.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not that loud, but \u2026 I\u2019m more loud than anybody on this team, like Paul [Millsap], LaMarcus [Aldridge], Patty [Mills], [Kevin Durant], you\u2019ve got a lot of guys who are just to themselves. Harden claims he has blocked out all the outside noise about Irving, with the likes of CNN, Sen. Ted Cruz and the prime minister of Spain weighing in.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s hard[core]. I don\u2019t even know,\u201d Harden said, tossing his hands up in the air. \u201cI didn\u2019t even know CNN [was] talking about us. I didn\u2019t know Kareem [Abdul-Jabbar] and [Shaquille O\u2019Neal] talked about us.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cObviously, I know [with] Kyrie, but I don\u2019t know who\u2019s talking about him. I don\u2019t pay attention to stuff. I stay out of that. Kyrie\u2019s going to handle that stuff, and I just focus on training camp and preparing for a great season that we\u2019re about to have.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harden also said he hasn\u2019t focused much on Ben Simmons\u2019 situation with the 76ers, which bears obvious parallels with his own drama in Houston last season before forcing a deal to the Nets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI stay out of it. That\u2019s not my situation. Mine was totally different. But hey, I\u2019m here in Brooklyn,\u201d Harden said. \u201cIt was a little uncomfortable for me just because I don\u2019t like a lot of attention, especially negative or draining energy.\u201cI like to be in a good place. I like to smile and have people around me smiling and good vibes. So it was kind of a little uncomfortable for me. But I had to go through it and on the other side I\u2019m h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>y to where I am now.
