“#Courtney Barnett Shares Online \u201cInteractive Stem Mixer\u201d<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Courtney Barnett has shared an \u201cinteractive stem mixer\u201d on her website that allows users to \u201clisten & play around\u201d with tracks from her forthcoming LP Things Take Time, Take Time<\/em>. The player, built and designed by Raphael Ong & Sean Lim, uses sliders to allow users to adjust the volume of the various percussion, guitars, and vocals in the mix of \u201cRae Street,\u201d \u201cBefore You Gotta Go,\u201d and \u201cWrite A List Of Things To Look Forward To.\u201d The site performs many of the same functions as the Donda Stem Player Kanye West announced\u2014but has yet to ship\u2014this year. Barnett says more songs will be added later. You can try it out now on Barnett\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Last month Barnett was called out for the similarities between her video for \u201cBefore You Gotta Go\u201d and fellow Melbourne, Australia band Quivers\u2019 clip for their song \u201cYou\u2019re Not Always On My Mind.\u201d In acknowledging the similarities, she claimed the were \u201ccompletely coincidental.\u201d She sets off on her first North American tour in three years in November.<\/p>\n
