The shows are the band\u2019s first in three years. They\u2019ll <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-offer-url=\"https:\/\/nastylittleman.us5.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=13daec772857eef90d4e2c19a&amp;id=889bebfbbb&amp;e=770cdf5fd4\" class=\"external-link\" data-event-click='{\"element\":\"ExternalLink\",\"outgoingURL\":\"https:\/\/nastylittleman.us5.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=13daec772857eef90d4e2c19a&amp;id=889bebfbbb&amp;e=770cdf5fd4\"}' href=\"https:\/\/nastylittleman.us5.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=13daec772857eef90d4e2c19a&amp;id=889bebfbbb&amp;e=770cdf5fd4\">take place<\/a> on November 23, 24, 29, and 30, and on December 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, and 21.<\/p>\n<p>LCD Soundsystem\u2019s latest release was 2019\u2019s <em>Electric Lady Sessions<\/em>, an album of live studio recordings from the lineup that toured behind the 2017 reunion album <em>American Dream<\/em>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ConsumerMarketingUnitThemedWrapper-kknrtm gZsZUO consumer-marketing-unit consumer-marketing-unit--article-mid-content\" role=\"presentation\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<div class=\"consumer-marketing-unit__slot consumer-marketing-unit__slot--article-mid-content consumer-marketing-unit__slot--in-content\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"journey-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>In a recent phone conversation with Pitchfork, while discussing the status of DFA Records and the label\u2019s ouster of co-founder Jonathan Galkin, James Murphy said also:<\/p>\n<div class=\"AdWrapper-fEXqQS krBdZf ad ad--in-content\">\n<div class=\"ad__slot ad__slot--in-content\" data-node-id=\"7cdbwq\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote class=\"BaseWrap-sc-TwdDQ BlockquoteEmbedWrapper-sc-eQHUIm hlNbBe ceowfs blockquote-embed\">\n<div class=\"BaseWrap-sc-TwdDQ BlockquoteEmbedContent-hqPMVh hlNbBe zQaqA blockquote-embed__content\">\n<p>I have a recording studio and I make music all the time. Whether it becomes something that comes out is always what remains to be seen. LCD is like literally opening a tap for when I decide to be part of the world. So, yeah, [I\u2019ve been] working on music. I don\u2019t have a great plan for it or know what I\u2019m going to be doing with it. But I\u2019m working on music.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In addition, when asked if the COVID-19 shutdown impacted his plans, Murphy said:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"BaseWrap-sc-TwdDQ BlockquoteEmbedWrapper-sc-eQHUIm hlNbBe ceowfs blockquote-embed\">\n<div class=\"BaseWrap-sc-TwdDQ BlockquoteEmbedContent-hqPMVh hlNbBe zQaqA blockquote-embed__content\">\n<p>Not being able to play live was fine because we probably wouldn\u2019t have been able to play live then. And I couldn\u2019t make LCD music. It didn\u2019t seem like the right thing to be doing at that moment for lots of reasons. You know, we\u2019re kind of a party band about a grumpy old guy making songs about music and in the middle of a global pandemic of people dying, and in the middle of Black Lives Matter, it just didn\u2019t seem like, \u201cYou know what everybody needs right now?
