Luckily, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/\">Google Docs<\/a> gives you a simple way to avoid mistaken keystrokes, accidental deletions, and other unintended edits with a view-only mode.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Use_Viewing_Mode_When_Working_Alone\"><\/span>Use Viewing Mode When Working Alone<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you\u2019re presenting your document to others or simply reviewing it yourself, you can enter Viewing mode easily. This is ideal if you\u2019re collaborating on the document. But if you want someone you\u2019re sharing with to only have viewing permission and not make changes, this is doable as well.<\/p>\n<p>You can change the sharing permission to a view-only mode at the time you share the document or afterward. Plus, you can adjust the permission if you\u2019re simply sharing the link.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Set_Up_Sharing_as_View-Only\"><\/span>Set Up Sharing as View-Only<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>To share your document, click \u201cShare\u201d on the top right.
