Speaking to Cointelegraph, Doudin stated:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe BitOasis team has been working very closely with policymakers and regulators to build trust and transparency into the crypto ecosystem. Partnering with Dubai Police is also a move in the same direction.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The move to safeguard investors coincides with UAE regulator\u2019s decision to <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>rove crypto trading within Dubai\u2019s DWTCA free zone on Sept. 23. On the same day, BitOasis announced it was\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.bitoasis.net\/ar\/%d8%a8%d8%aa-%d8%a3%d9%88%d8%a7%d8%b3%d9%8a%d8%b3-%d8%aa%d8%b1%d8%aa%d8%a8%d8%b7-%d9%85%d8%b9-%d9%85%d9%86%d8%b5%d8%a9-goaml%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%aa%d8%a7%d8%a8%d8%b9%d8%a9-%d9%84%d9%88%d8%ad%d8%af%d8%a9\/\">linking<\/a> its services with GoAML, a surveillance platform built and operated by the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit, for reporting suspicious transactions.<\/p>\n<p>This partnership will also see the active involvement of the National Committee for Combating Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism and Illegal Organisations, a state-run organization focused on building Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism frameworks. <\/p>\n<p>Tarek Mohammed, head of the virtual asset crime section at the Dubai Police, said that the department is currently undergoing extensive training to understand crypto and blockchain.\u00a0 Mohammed warned local investors from accepting dirhams for cryptocurrencies from anonymous sources, adding:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201c(The UAE) is taking a hands-on approach to ensuring the financial security of the country, investors, and all stakeholders operating within the crypto space.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em><strong>Related: <\/strong><strong>Billion-dollar Bitcoin mining industry resumes in Iran after three-month ban<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>According to some in the industry, the UAE stands to benefit from its status as a global tax haven and its friendly policy toward cryptocurrencies.
